xMIDI

 xMIDI is a method of having a remote midi port connected via PipeBus. With a simple adapter board, a Nano can become a remote MIDI driver.

At this time, traffic is supported from the controller to the remote MIDI port. A return path is planned, but not yet supported.

In The Console

To use xMIDI, simply define the midi outputs as you normally would, but direct the data to port #3.

The example listed has duplicate data coming from both the internal MIDI port (#1) and the remote xMIDI port (#3).

The Send xMidi Frame command is what sends the data out the PipeBus port.

In The Chamber

Plug a Nano and MIDI Adapter together. Ensure that “Message 1” is set to off. Set message #2 as follows:

Save changes to the configuration and reboot. Midi should be flowing out.
